Joelle Joanie Siwa, is best known for appearing on two seasons of the hit reality show, Dance Moms. The fifteen-year-old star parlayed that success over to the computer as she became a huge YouTube star. She posts every day on her channel JoJo Siwa Vlogs. The young starlet has gained a loyal following of fans known as Siwanatorz.
After Dance Moms ran its course in JoJo’s life, she entered the second season of the spin-off Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition. Impressively enough, JoJo was the youngest contestant on this season. The young lady landed herself as a top 5 finalist, going home in week 9.
When JoJo left Dance Moms in 2016, the dancer tried her hand at singing. She released a digital download called Boomerang, addressing the subject of online bullying. This single earned her 450 million views and 2.5 million likes on YouTube. Generating all this attention for such a positive message, Nickelodeon signed up the star.
One of JoJo’s most notable accessories is her big bows. Capitalizing on this, JoJo partnered with fashion accessory retailer, Claire’s. Through their retail outlets, she released a line of bows aptly named JoJo’s Bows. These bows actually ended up being banned in United Kingdom schools. Seeing as they ran for £8 to £12 each, students who didn’t have JoJo’s Bows were bullied by their peers. This led to the ban.
With her fashion career going smoothly, Siwa explored other endeavors. She started a partnership with J.C. Penney to extend her accessory line. On top of bows, JoJo Siwa also released bedroom decor, a doll made in her image, and authored several books.
